I am probably out of place here, with my 76 kg (160 lbs).

Over the years I have found that
a) for me, fat causes less weight gain than alcohol and sugar.
b) as long as I work out regularly and eat / snack in moderation, I keep whatever weight I am at.
c) dieting is a lifestyle, not a temp thing. Your weight is the result of your lifestyle, so crash diets are useless if you revert to your old lifestyle. Find a lifestyle that you can comfortably live with.
