Anyone have a few extra pounds? I've dropped 35 on nutrisystem
I shouldnt be writting this right now... Im pretty tired and dont want to type up a bunch hah, been doin that all day for school... Anyway, I've been doin Nutrisystem since January 16, and am down 35lbs so far! I started at 311 and am now at 275.
I personally enjoy the food, no real problems with the taste. There are somethings I dont care to eat... Just dont order them again though, ya know? Nothin I cant finish atleast once. Its not too badly priced either, $300 a month + fresh fruit/dairy/protein/bread so, maybe $20 a week additional? Kinda pricy I guess, but works.
My main goal is to get to 220, then maybe 180. Goin step by step though, and lovin it
Anyone have any questions about it? I can happily answer those for ya!

I'm thinking of trying that as well, to drop about 20lbs. I can't seem to find the time to work out during the riding season lol That's assuming they also have a CDN operation going.

Good job! I'm also a little on the hefty side, need to drop about 40 or 50 lbs. I'm doing tslim fast for 2 meals and one normal meal, plus a DR prescribed appetite supressant. I started out at 200 and have dropped 10 lbs since the first of the month. I can't walk or excercise much due to arthritis in my lower back and hips, going to start water aerobics next month.

Good job. I have been doing the low carb thing and so for it is the only method that has worked for me. Any other way [Low Fat, etc] and I would get hungry and end up cheating and fail. I have went from 320 to 265 in about 8 months [55lbs]. I average about 4 or 5 lbs loss per month and with a goal of 170lbs should take from 2 to 3 years total. A typical day for me is 2 eggs with cheese for breakfast, a can of tuna or salad for lunch, and steak or burger [no bread] with a low carb vegetable for supper. There are many methods for weight loss and whatever works for you is the word. It's important to keep your courage up and get support from family and friends. It's OK to backslide once in a while [Thanksgiving and Christmas, etc] just keep your eye on the goal.

Congratulations ctufano. Great achievment.
This time last year I was over 300 lbs. Started Dr. Bernstein diet in May and lost 125lbs. I am now floating between 180 & 185lbs and feeling great. Definately worth the trip.
Staying singularly focused on following the diet and remembering always why I was doing it went along way in helping me stay the course.
I wish you continued success and good health.

Nice to know! I am "fluffy" as well and would love to lose some serious weight. I know I need to get a check-up first. Nutrisystem seems to have tasty food - not grilled cardboard or the like.
For the gents who have slimmed down, what is your experience with your skin toning up where you used to have "extra you"?

Yea im worried about the whole skin issue. Well, not really. I look forward to havin too much skin hangin then too much full. I can have surgery to fix that, but I also work out a lot to help keep it all tone as I go.
The way nutrisystem works is pretty straight forward. Theres nothing special in the food, aside from Nutrisol (made by Nutrisystem) which contains omega 3 fatty acids, protein, and an appetite surpresseant to help with the fiber an protein of the food.
Nutrisystem sends you like 28 breakfast, lunch, dinner entrees and 56 snacks. So, this is my typical days worth of food.
Breakfast:
Nutrisystem entree (eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, breakfast bar, cereal, )
Half a banana
Slice of jewish seeded rye
A protein (maybe string cheese, or 3 slices jenny-o 95% ff turkey bacon)
Morning snack:
2nd half of banana
Another dairy/protein (string cheese or 2 hebrew nation hotdogs)
Lunch:
Nutrisystem lunch entree (always is a soup or bar)
Spinach salad w/ spritzer
Snack:
Nutrisystem snack option (theres so many)
Dinner:
Slice of jewish seeded rye
2tbsp pb2 (powdered peanut butter from bellplantation.com)
V8 lite-sodium w/ hotsauce
Maybe spinach salad if hungry enough
Whole banana
Nutrisystem Dinner Entree
Dessert (whenever i want):
Nutrisystem entree
The way it works, is helps your portion control, and keeps you ocnstantly eating all day so you are using your metabolism constantly, thus burning more calories.
I really love it, and workin out, and the feeling of my clothes fitting better and just feeling better.
hah. Thanks for all the words of encouragement
