Updates...
I asked my g/f last night to marry me, and after about a half hour of "Oh my God!"'s, I finally got her to mutter a "Yes".
That's part of the reason I've been absent from here of late. For those of you who've gone through the process of what I just did, you know how utterly nerve-wracking it is. And I did it as a complete surprise....we hadn't really talked a great deal about it, but I felt the time was right. Turns out I was correct!
Just had to share. I'll post pics of the ring when I get them uploaded, hopefully later today...

Congratulations.
I've never been a romantic soul ... we just kinda discussed it one day and went looking for engagement rings.
Our 10 year aniversary is coming up on October 31st. STR "Who gets married on halloween"

Congratulations sir! I found that a modicum of alcohol helped me, though of course you must be careful not to overdo it as Gussie Fink-Nottle so famously demonstrated.
