Pfft, I don't think I'll be making it big any time soon. If I accomplish "bigness" in about 15 years, that'll be awesome. Until then, I'll be working for the man!

None yet. My hope is to get into stocks. My ultimate goal is to be able to make some sound decisions and turn a little bit of money into a little more.

Thanked: 735Have you taken any money management courses?
One of the best things that my wife and I ever did was to take a general money managemnet course (like once a week for 4 weeks or something). It gave an overview of investing, real estate, insurance issues, and the like. It really helped give me a better understanding about how to make money work for you.
That was like 12 years ago. We made some money pre-2000 bubble, cashed some in to put down on our place. Held on to the rest and watched it go up, up, up........and then down, down, dooooooooooooown
. Greed, pure and simple. Investing isn't easy!
Educate yourself first, and then go for it!

I'm working on it. Besides personal study I have a Finance class coming up this summer that promises to be both educational and torturous. Hopefully I will actually leave with some helpful information
