When i was young guy i cared very much for the Earth when a family member would have trees cut down i had real sadness.
Not anymore i love axing away at a tree.
I never worry thinking about the wasted food for not finishing what one the plate when i eat out Restaurants waste tons of food any how.
Plus if i couldn't finish it's cause it lacked flavor and in that case i not trying that place anyhow.
It's crazy how many eateries sell food not seasoned just right.
Like someplaces would waste lots of fruit cause they want them in nice little balls. There is a special tool just for that one thing.
I honestly learned to not really worry about waste of anything.
But well if i ever got a Eatery of my own it would reycle and compost almust no eateries reycle the metal tins or glass containers things come in.
What i tend to really hate in life is reading someone's face and learning they are lying to my face.

What would really help the Earth is to pick a place you eat out at the simple question do you reycle and compost.
Cause it stupid how much steel goes into landfills every year. Cause of so many old farts want to just keep doing things
the old way. Cause must of the trash from any eateries is biodieable or reycleable. Theres added trash from people being lazy.
and wraping containers with plastic wrap it's like serious get a lid from the storage room.

Life is hard enough without making it any harder folks. I understand some of you may get that warm feeling inside from helping good ol' mother earth, but as someone else said, while GE and DOW and all the others (India, China..etc) wipe out years of hardship by one of you guys in a few minutes each day, why make my life harder than it already is and use up even one more precious minute of my free time to expend one less carbon?
Heck, I even tried! I looked into the WVO movement and started looking for a nice used diesel Mercedes...but guess what I found on the WVO forums? Have you been there? Go and take a gander and read all the America bashing and hatred towards their own country and government. That's great PR assholes...
I'm the first one that wants to get off the grid...and there are millions more like me..BUT WE AREN'T GOING TO SPEND PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY TO DO IT. My mission in life is not to spend every weekend trolling alleyways for waste vegetable oil and building a processing plant in my garage where I will spend hours to make fuel when I should be using that time to help my kids do homework or on a walk with my wife. Sorry
I even tried going CNG... because it's better? ok...maybe, but more because I would never have to go to gas pump again! AND because it was the same or maybe a little cheaper than getting a regular gasoline car...but guess what? None of that nonsense in Miami.
When are the environmentalists going to get it into their heads that until you make life EASIER and CHEAPER for people no one is going to sign up?
At this point it's like a religion. I respect your belief, but don't try and make me feel bad because I don't see things your way.

Thanked: 1160Good ol Grayling, place of my birth......like the tree falling in the forest question, if you pee in the woods, does anybody see you ?
LED's........CFL's bother me as the new light bulb because they have mercury in them. I have been told that is low impact and that their are places to dispose of them, but here's the problem. 1) multiply the number of people in this world using and disposing of CFL's and I would say contaminated soil and water problem coming down the pike in the future. 2) educating all the people as to where to dump said bulbs and then also hoping they properly do so is unreaslistic.Come along inside,We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a betterplace.~TheWind in the Willow~
