There is still a great website all about Skidboot: www.skidboot.com

The dog I had before Basil was Fritz. Fritz was an astoundingly smart dog. He was seemingly telepathic in his cooperative abilities. I never met a dog that was as eager to please yet very cool at the same time. Toward the end he couldn't hold it the entire day while I was at work. Not wanting to have an "accident" he actually toilet trained himself. He began to crap and pee in the bathtub so it would be easy for me to cleanup. God I miss that dog

Meanwhile I am stuck with Basil. He's pretty smart but he ain't Fritz.

Skidboot gets my vote too, that was one impressive dog. His owner seems like he has the talent with critters too. I used to work with horses quite a bit as well and I have to say once you can connect or read an animal people are easy.
    Great thread.
