Say, I was at the bar a few weeks ago, and I struck up a conversation with the guy sitting next to me. His name is Kevin Elster, and he played on the '86 Mets. He says hi.

P.S. You should see the sweet ring he has!

After two world series rings in four years, that just doesn't bum anyone out anymore. What did Kevin think of the Mets' collapse last year - that would be the year that the Red Sox won the World Series......again.

By the way, did anyone see that dunk by Pierce tonight on that one - two with Garnett?

Default Well, were down to a single game playoff . . .

The odds are on the side of the CAVS! GO CAVS!

I want to comment on this, but somehow feel it just wouldn't be right. Great series, great final game. But Pierce may have been the best player on the court yesterday. The one surprise for me in this series was the Celtics were able to address LeBron. Didn't stop him but he wasn't able to take over, and it rarely felt like he was ever going to explode, and that surprised me.

If they get LeBron some real support next year he could do something.

Thanks for not rubbing anything in!

The CAVS are such a bi-polar team (no offense to any of our bi-polar members!). They played two or three play-off games like one of the best TEAMS of all time, then they played the rest of the games like they didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. LeBron was COLD in the Celtics series, and the Celtics were keying on him -- and we did not adjust.

Pierce was great -- but I think KG was the reason why the CAVS didn't win earlier in the series. While I think "the trade" was a good one., if we had Kevin Garnett we would be unstoppable.

I think the way the Celtics shut down Billups (who granted is rusty) and Rasheed Wallace (who granted is erratic) made the way they "addressed" LeBron look legit. I have to confess that I wondered if their good defense in the regular season would hold up in the playoffs, and it looks like it is holding up, and if they continue to advance, it will be because of their D.

I think (exposing myself to ridicule here) that the Celtics will actually handle the Pistons with more ease than expected, even in five games, particularly if Ray Allen remembers how to shoot (I fear his legs are just shot but we'll see), and that will showcase what Cleveland was able to accomplish in pushing it to the limit. But we'll see......I may be regretting saying that tommorrow night even.

GREIGHT GAME 5 Loudee - - but will somebody tell me why even playoff calibur teams regularly blow almost 20 point leads with only a quarter of a game to go?

Despite the BB pundits - I think the NBA champions will be either Boston or Detroit, sorry Kobe!
