    PBS keeps saying "funded by people like you", and then proceeds to run what look suspiciously like regular commercials.


    Too bad they were gutted by Newt G back during the contract on America days. Now they too have to bend the knee to corporate sponsorship, and thus out the window goes their objectivity. They used to have a high quality product.

    Indeed, this saddens me as well. I hope that corporate influence in PBS is not as profound as what is felt in corporate news organizations, and I am buoyed by the idea that perhaps selling time for commercials is not as corrupting as being wholly owned by commercial interests. I look forward to the day government decides to act and break up the effective News monopoly.
