Did you know that searching the web with a standard search engine wastes resources? Me either.
Anyway, my BIL sent me a link to something called Blackle - a google search engine customised so that the background is black, and the lettering is white (roughly).

From a quick skim read I think the idea is based on the premise that a computer monitor uses more energy to display predominantly white or light pages than black. So why not make the background black and the letters white?
Actually, I set up all my computers to do this anyway, but that's because I think it looks better.
Anyway, check it out if you like and see what you reckon.
