I dont think you understand what I said. They (politicians) are kicking our (yours as well as mine) a$$e$.
Its always our (yours and mines)turn to get our a$$es kicked, no matter who is in what office at what time, we both take the beating. While trying to pretend that one candidate/officeholder is more moral than the other, which is not true. Take John McCain for example, his wifes family made their money bootlegging, Obama makes his dealing with Chicago mobsters. Whats the difference?Last edited by nun2sharp; 07-25-2008 at 04:47 PM.

Thanked: 50You'll have to justify that. I don't believe that anyone on the planet calls names quite like "conservatives." Even I only mentioned it in protest of the names you were using.
Nobody believes that. Not "liberals." Nobody. It's a red herring thrown up by "conservatives" to keep their people in line.
Like what?

Actually, I don't have to justify anything. I already pointed you in the correct direction; should you require further clarification on hyperbole and its uses, Google it.
You clearly adhere to liberal orthodoxy, why don't you support your assertions? Who is nobody and want don't they believe? Do you truly think that Amtrack provides good service at a reasonable price? If so, when is the last time you took the train instead of flying? Or that Social Security isn't going to go bankrupt? Perchance you are also a member of the Flat Earth Society? Please, if you think you have been abducted by aliens and probed in unspeakable places, don't share!
Kennedy escalated our presence in Vietnam (1961: sent 500 more "advisers," bringing the total to 1500. By the end of 1962 our presence there totalled ~11000). Obama wishes for us flee Iraq without regard to responsibility or consequence. Kennedy stared down the Soviets in the Cuban Missile Crisis, Reagan looked the same Soviet menace in the eye for the better part of a decade. And what does Obama suggest is the best way for dealing with our enemies? Dialogue without precondition! Nikita Khrushchev would beat him into submission with his shoe and not break a sweat doing it. Should I cover economics now? Domestic policy? Basic arithmetic?
By the way, you mention red herrings but not the best one of all, global warming. It sure is a catchy and important sounding title, isn't it? But Al Gore's Pretext for Social Intervention would be a boring and clumsy rubric!Last edited by ProfessorChaos!; 07-26-2008 at 12:12 AM.
