I voted time, but more specifically second chances. When you realize you've come through something that should've killed you, you get thankful for that.

Thanked: 31I can't believe eternal salvation isn't a choice. That is what I'd pick, hands down.

Thanked: 131Some questions based on current poll results:
1) Love is clearly the highest choice so far. For those who chose love, do you mean a particular type of love? Feeling love FOR someone/something, or feeling loved BY someone (or something?)?.
2) Currently Time outranks good health. Would you rather live forever with poor mental and physical health then? I dont think I would, since I know how much a burden on those I love poor health can be. What do you guys think?
3) Freedom ranks way down there- getting only 3 votes so far. Does that mean we dont value our freedom or just that we value it less than one of the others? I mean we go to war under the banner of freedom often enough. Have you ever heard of going to war under the banner of love?
I can see this turning into either a religious or war thread- I hope it does neither in depth. These are all qualities that cover all religions equally and whilst it may be the reason for your answer, i'm not looking for a religious debate. Just a philosophical one. :Last edited by sidneykidney; 07-28-2008 at 10:34 AM.

As long as your health is good, the rest is something you can work on.
You can attain freedom, you can find love, you can make more time by shifting priorities (I went from consultant to employee in order to have more time for my family), ...
But if you don't have good health, there is nothing you can do about it. Barring a miraculous discovery in the style of Gregory House (tv series: House, M.D.), my brother will never be able to live his life without significant restrictions.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

I just voted and the message came up that I had already voted. I didn't remember voting before but I would bet that I voted for good health then too. I am with Bruno on that, I have seen both sides and with health the rest is more possible.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 31I chose other. I could have picked love, the fountain of salvation, or freedom, the result of salvation, but I don't see either of those as a gift, wrapped and gift-carded.

On that same note, would you rather live healthily for just a day? It's easy to choose one or the other based on what we have, don't have, or might not have. I'll take my health as it is. It's not the greatest, but I'm here. Just give me time with my loved ones.
I didn't choose freedom because it isn't a gift. Back in colonial days, they believed it was a right that they were to secure for their loved ones. Some damn fine men went out and secured it for us with their blood, and damn fine men (and women too) today are still doing it.
