How hot does it get where you are?
It was 103 degrees fahrenheit hear yesterday, and it's supposed to reach that again today. Our hottest day this year was 111 degrees last month. We're lucky that our humidity stays down around 50% though. What kind of hell are the rest of you experiencing?

In the summer it can get to a sweltering 35-37 degrees Celsius. The first couple of days it is not so bad, but as sson as the humidity starts building up, it becomes bad. Though it is nowhere near as bad as Texas in August.

As a Texan, posting in the month of August I'm going to agree with Bruno
so far this month, the worst day (this month) where I live was (according to wunderground.com) 107F, with 55% humidity, on August 3rd. (according to Heat Index & Wind Chill Calculator, this means the heat index was 148.8F!!!)
needless to say, it was an awful day. it's broken 100F almost everyday for a month.Last edited by jockeys; 08-14-2008 at 06:01 PM.

It was 103 here yesterday also Richard, and I don't like it. Only good thing for me is working for the time being in San Fransisco. Coming home over the Altamont Pass is sometimes like opening the oven door.

Thanked: 150We had a few days last week where the temp hovered around 105 F, but all of this week has been in the 80's (very unusual for this time of year).
Humidity was and is pretty bad too, but you get used to it. There's always a decent breeze as well, so it's bearable for the most part.

It is 92 Fahrenheit here with a heat index of 99. Low 52% humidity today.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

So far its averaging mid to high 90's (degrees F) with a constant 100% humidity, needless to say I wish I lived in a much cooler environment!

Thanked: 4Here in the middle of Iowa, it's usually the high nineties both ways during the peak of summer. This year hasn't been too bad so far.
