Nope... I didn't even think about looking at the name under which the file was saved. I remember seeing this old movie - if I remember well it was shot in the mid 20ies - quite long ago... but I am not sure... but surely Leon will bring us the answer

You are correct. It's Metropolis by Fritz Lang, made in 1927. IMHO, it's one of the best movies ever made for so many reasons. It's a sci-fi movie ahead of it's time - we're talking about sci-fi special effects from the 20's! Originally Posted by Ockham

actually, leon, i'm pretty sure it was the first sci-fi film EVER made! great movie, though. the remake wasn't half bad either.
