Default The Alphabet according to Straight Razor Shaving

I thought of this idea whilst I was having my last shave. One person starts the process with the first letter of the alphabet and thinks of something shaving related (ideally straight razor shaving related) beginning with that letter. They then name that thing and give a brief description of it. The next person along takes the next letter and does the same. Progressive, see? Some rules however. To make it harder each person can only post one letter per post. So no posting two or three letters at once. Also try to only stick to each taking one letter per alphabet. Wait until the alphabet starts anew before taking your next turn. Unless this thread is dying in which case ignore that rule Try not to use the same thing twice. So the second person to come to 'Z' we have trouble, but its not impossible. I suggest you make a quick post to make sure you have your place in the alphabet to before editing the post with your letter and definition in it.

EDIT: If you are quoting from somewhere it might be an idea to say where from eg wiki. But nobody said you cant use your own words

    So perhaps without further ado.....

    A- Aftershave

A cologne applied after shaving which can contain a mixture of antiseptic (such as alcohol), moisturizer and scent.

    C - Camelia Oil

An oil extracted from the Camelia plant. Traditionally used in Japan to lubricate and prevent rust on fine edged weapons, such as samurai swords. Now used for the same purpose on straight razors.

    D - Dovo

DOVO Solingen, or DOVO Steelware, or DOVO, is an independent German company based in Solingen that manufactures high-quality hair and thinning scissors, straight razors and wet shavers, shaving equipment, household and professional scissors, skin and nail scissors, cuticle and nail nippers, and manicure sets. Shaving equipment and razors are produced by Merkur Solingen, a subsidiary of DOVO, although this brand name is no longer used, as modern straight razors are produced under the DOVO brand. E - Escher Water Hone

"Known by straightedge razor shavers as the ultimate razor honing stone. Used as the final hone after shaping and sharpening with man-made or natural abrasives that produce a wire-edge, or burr in the fashion of a saw-toothed like serrated line."

I- India steel- A steel type used for some razors (usually marked on the razor somewhere) which is well-thought of as giving a superior shaving edge. It was used by many top makers and is highly sought after today in antique straights.
