At lest they have something in common: they both claim innocence. If they are indeed communicating, I would think that specific commonality is the reason it began.
What amazes me much more is that some serial killers on death row get fanmail from women wanting to marry them. I mean... who in her right mind would want to have anything to do with Ted Bundy?
As it turned out: a lot of good looking women.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

From what I understand Ted Bundy is a very charming sociopath...so he's probably quite the charmer to the ladies. (considering he was a serial rapist as wel).
And as for women wanting bad boys...well if TV has taught me anything (and I admit TV doesn't teach much) it's because they believe that THEY can change those men. (Offcourse this never works but that doesn't stop them from trying).

While I wouldn't put too much stock in the veracity of Fox news, one thing (a bit o/t) that I read in this article worries me... Current regulations would allow gang members to coordinate activities between different correctional facilities (like gang wars).

If they want, they can already do that
- via their attorney, written (client-attorney privilege) or by word of mouth
- via visitors (word of mouth)
- via guards (bribed or blackmailed)
- via new detainees and people leaving the prison.
Short of sending everybody to guantanamo bay for life without parole, in soletary confinement, without a right to legal representation, there is nothing you can do to prevent it. And even then, the guards and other personnel are the weak link. So anybody with enough resources (e.g. have a crew of pro killers hold the guards family hostage) would be able to set up a hidden commuications channel, even in guantanamo bay.Last edited by Bruno; 10-30-2008 at 11:16 AM.

I notice the article doesn't say whether or not Inmates mail is private communication or not but I think it is read during that "search for contraband" in case there is any information of an evidential nature in there even though it is not a part of the public record. It's my understanding that prisoners have no right to privacy in either their persons or correspondence except as covered by attorney or priestly privilege ( I could be wrong though).
I don't think they would get away with planning any criminal activity in a letter.
If she's convicted I'm all for the romance, he's a wife killer she might be a baby killer, therefore there's a high likelihood that they won't reproduce so I don't see any harm in it. Give them a couple of steak knives and tape the result of their flirtations to give comfort to their victims family, or just post the vid on u-tube talk about punishment fitting the crime.Last edited by Wildtim; 10-30-2008 at 03:08 PM.
