We didn't know it was an email from "the Net"....
Try this option: if you think everything is hosed in DC, vote against every incumbent. I had a relative who said "two terms is enough...vote the SOBs out." He voted against any incumbent who had served two terms...unless they were a real loser and then he voted to get rid of them ASAP.
One of my concerns with McCain is having someone with that temper with their finger on the button - he always looks like he is ready to bash someone in the face. I've read some interviews with some of his former associates with whom he served and they were concerned with the idea of him as CinC.
Plus if he dies, we are stuck with Sarah "Wink and a Nod" Palin (every time I see her do that, I expectto ask someone if they are looking for a good time). She is the opposite - if we were attacked, they would have to give her a high school geography lesson so she would know where the attack was coming from....and she wouldn't be able to see the maps because of her bangs.

The politicians do not say it out right, they do it by innuendo, and allow their surrogates to make the insinuations.
Having no use for organized religion, I'm not going to judge whether someone's brand of supernatural religious dogma is more valid than someone else's brand of supernatural religious dogma (aka Palin getting exorcised, them speaking in tongues and preaching that the end of the world is coming and Alaska will be the chosen land where they will survive the end of times).

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee
I live in Western M assachusetts or is that Taxachusetts. I have all Canadian heritage from my grandparents so you never know. North of the border looks better and better.

GOOD! Last thing we need is another Christian fundamentalist running the country. Speaking of... What's the difference between Palin and Muslim fundamentalists? Lipstick | Salon
P.S. My comment isn't meant to insult anyone- but we seriously need less religious influence in office.

And on another point what if Obama was a Muslim? Is there a problem with American Muslims? I thought the US was about freedom and one of those freedoms is the freedom of Religion and the separation of church and state to ensure one can practice their religion without interference from the state. So is their a problem with a muslim holding the highest office in the country?

An excellent article...I've always wondered at the "selective" interpretation of the Bible by those espousing to force their religious views on others via politics, thereby trashing the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment...but then we know Palin is an expert on the Constitution.
That whirring sound you here is the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves........

Call to prayeris one of the most beautiful things on earth. I also don't care what religion my President is. I am an American.
