Thanked: 131Fantasy 7 day rotation
So guys... if money was no object and you could have up to 7 razors of your choice to make your dream weekly rotation, what would they be? You may already have them (you lucky ) or they may be on your wishlist. They may be specific blades- maybe the first one you resto'd or your first razor. It way be an heirloom which is totally messed up. Its entirely your decision. Either way, tell us what they are, why they are there and what they mean to you....
I'll need some time to think of an answer to this one myself....

Wow this is a tough one. The main reason being, my tastes keep changing.
I'm just going to throw some out there. Some I have and some I really want, and some probably don't exist, yet:
1. Livi Damascus 6/8 with Mammoth scales
2. Zowada 6/8 Damascus in Mammoth scales
3. Dorko 6/8 White faux ivory scales
4. Le Grelot 6/8 Shoulderless
5. Wusthof 5/8 Bakelite looking scales shoulderless
6. Boker Pearl covered tang, black scales, worked back
7. DD Lifetime
All of these I'd like to shave with on a weekly rotation.

I am kinda new at this but there are just not others that I care for. I have used a lot of full hollows and there are a lot of nice razors out there but I feel these are the King of the heap.

Take care,

Thanked: 31I'd get a master razor cutler to forge seven blades from an ancient Persian sword of the finest wootz Damascus steel. Each blade would be a 5/8, shoulderless swayback with a "singing" hollow grind and a barber's notch. Each day of the week, in Latin, would be forged into the spine of each blade and be complemented with beautiful displays of etching and silversmithing. Probably Biblical or from Christian tradition. The handles would be of ebony, ivory, tortoise shell, mother-of-pearl, blonde horn, gold, and one other. Can't think of it. Matching tang inserts. Scrimshaw to match the blade's imagery.
The whole thing would come in a lignum vitae box with a sapphire crystal lid and some kind of fancy felt. I'd have a matching brush, like a rainbow, too.
Then I'd get the Pope to bless it.

Thanked: 31Olivewood burl, if such a thing exists, from the tree Christ wept under. That'd be Friday's and the final scale material.
