Talking 'Tis A Good Week To Be Black

Now before you start assuming this thread has racist intent, it doesn't and I Want to KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!!!

We have 2 Firsts this week. We have our first black Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who was greeted by appalling booing and slurs from the fans at Interlagos. And now the US has it's first black President in Mr Obama.

The after race hype regarding Lewis Hamilton purely surrounded the fact he was Britains first World Champion since Damon Hill back in 1996, what no one was or is saying is that he is also the first black driver to EVER win the F1 crown.

The reason I like Mr Obama is that he has restored hope in Politics, which is something I have never witnessed before, I'm only 34 so JFK was way before my time. As for our Politics here in the UK, Thatcher is the earliest I can remember and she has been followed by a slew of uninspirational repacements causing an apathy towards the whole system.

I do not understand why people get caught up on the colour of someone's skin, it is after all only a pigment molecule in someones DNA. It does not affect a person's intelligence or bravery or compassion. Their conviction of belief should be enough.

Congratulations to both Lewis Hamilton and Mr Obama for having the courage to follow their convictions through to their respective victories.
