Watchmen was a 12-issue special editon published by DC in 1986 and 87. It's been reprinted many times and I was just recently lucky enough to pick up a hardcover copy at a great price. If you haven't read it, it's well worth the read. And yes, Silk Spectre looks hot in the trailer -- much more so than in the book (although I wish they'd been more faithful to her oh-so-revealing costume as David Gibbons originally drew it.)

I think the casting of Pigpen as Night Owl II is genius!

So my friend and former schoolmate had a minor role in the film and was invited by the cinematographer to an advanced screening. She reports that the film is awesome and she's still trying to process what she has seen. Don't you just hate her?

I can't wait! I'm considering watching it at one of those Imax cinemas -- are they really worth the hype for non-3D films?

I also came across this the other day. I guess it answers our questions about whether the story within story will be left in or out of the film. Looks like you can buy this now!

I'm going to see it Sunday night at the IMAX. I know, how can I wait? Little Man's birthday tomorrow and a million things to do. The suspense is killing me!

Dyiiiiing here! I can't wait to see it. I'm going to hold off until Mon or Tues. to avoid some crowds. I'm thinking it's got to be Imax.

Eh, it's a comic book movie, so no doubt the producers will ruin it, but I'm a consumer whore, so I'll prolly go see it anyway.

The only comic book film I've seen that had any kind of faithfulness to the original comic was The Crow, fifteen years ago.
