I've always thought Althea (a type of hibiscus) was a pretty name.

An old friend confided years ago that if the baby on the way was a girl her name was going to be Meonanose, probably figuring that she would resemble him a bit. He also said that it it were a boy it would be Ignor, probably from how he took his own father's advice.

Nimue (pronounced Nimway) Branwen. Both are traditional Welsh names after characters from our mythology. Congrats by the way! When are you due??

My wife and I have spoken about this. If we ever have a girl she's going to be 'Emma'. Her middle name is going to be the christian name of her mum since this follows a tradition in both our families. Her middle name is taken from her mums christian name, my middle name is taken from my dads christian name.

And Mark- I'm realy surprised that nobody has mentioned Barry Manilow in this thread yet.

We named our girl Elyse. But for some reason, we call her Belle.

My wife's name is Arista. I think it's beautiful.

The girl's name Arista \a-ris-ta, ar(i)-sta\ is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "the best". The root of the word "aristocrat".

    Good luck.
