Maybe if they hadn't lied about the incident and cleaned up the crime scene they wouldn't be in the situation they are in now. The fact the guy they shot was a dirtbag and probably deserved it is another story totally.

I suppose a President commuting a few sentences on his last day is the equivalent of your average office worker swiping a bunch of stuff from the stationary cabinet on his.

I'm a bit puzzled, mark.
If you believe the judicial system is completely broken, you really have much bigger problems. My thinking is - the case has had so much public exposure, that I am sure the courts have paid enough attention to get it right and yet they were sentenced to a decade in prison.
And you are telling me political pressure is the better way do dispense justice... are you unhappy you are not living in one of the numerous countries in the world where this is the reality?

It really is against the law for law enforcement officers to shoot people in the back who are running away from them absent very narrow conditions. These guys broke every policy they were trained for. The guy they shot was a well known local doper who they had dealings with many times and the first agent decided this guy wasn't going to get away this time.

given that thebigspendur was LEO for a long time (right?) I assume he knows what he is talking about.
Things are rarely black or white. The use of force is one of those things.
The law probably does not say that you can shoot anyone who is committing a crime.
Smoking a pot cigarette is a crime. But that does not mean the smoker should be shot on sight.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
