Thanked: 271I disagree with the concept = revisionism means inciting hate. If you study the evidence and reach conclusions, shouldn't you be allowed to express them? In my view, the issue with revisionism is that the claim is made that the Holocaust was a unique event, unlike any other genocide, a sacred event outside of history. The revisionists are trying to treat it like any other subject of study. I sometimes wonder if we aren't seeing the birth of a new religion, Holocaustism, centered around the destruction of the Jews. In that case, everything to do with the Holocaust becomes religious doctrine and off-limits to all critique. If the Holocaust was like any other genocide, then, at a certain point the world could ask the Jews to get over it. If it was a special, unique event, unlike any other, then it becomes untouchable. In the end, will have a holy inquisition and "holocaust deniers" will be burned at the stake. After all, they're already being imprisoned.
I thank you for your defense of Chomsky. I admire him greatly.
