    6. The owner who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
    7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
    8. The owner living in the center house drinks milk.
    9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
    10. The owner who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
    11. The owner who keeps the horse lives next to the one who smokes Dunhill.
    12. The owner who smokes Bluemasters drinks beer.
    13. The German smokes Prince.
    14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.

The question is: WHO OWNS THE FISH?
Doesn't matter. While Roger was running with the lamp, he tripped. The lamp flew from his hand at 10 mps and hit another passenger in the head. That passenger reached out to steady himself and accidentally grabbed the train emergency brake line. The train derailed taking out all five houses, the occupants, and their pets. Next time don't run on a train.

The question is: WHO OWNS THE FISH?
One possible solution satisfying conditions 1-15 is:

    Code:
House Nationality Colour Pets Drinks Smokes

1 Norwegian Yellow Cats Water Dunhill
2 Dane Blue Horse Tea Blends
3 Brit Red Birds Milk Pall Mall
4 German Green Fish Coffee Prince
5 Swede White Dogs Beer Bluemasters
If I assume you are asking the nationality of the fish owner, the answer must be the German.

But since I haven't proven my solution is unique, it could be a trick question, and the answer could also be one of:

    • The person in house 4;
    • The person in the Green House.

But my answer is the German.

All of which is actually correct.

A mother is 21 years older than her son.
In 6 years she will be 5 times older than him.

    Where is the father?

Alright, hopefully this is a fresh one on you guys.

Four people need to cross a rickety rope bridge to get back to their camp at night. Unfortunately, they only have one flashlight and it only has enough light left for seventeen minutes. The bridge is too dangerous to cross without a flashlight, and it’s only strong enough to support two people at any given time.

Each of the campers walks at a different speed. One can cross the bridge in 1 minute, another in 2 minutes, the third in 5 minutes, and the slow poke takes 10 minutes to cross. How do the campers make it across in 17 minutes?

Since this thread died shortly after this post, and I enjoy this thread, I'll keep the dream alive.

    I have two american coins (1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 1.00 denominations) totalling 30 cents, but one of them isn't a quarter.

    How is this possible?

It's an easy one, but it get the thread going again.
