Default Going to be a Grandfather

God, it hurt to type that. I'm 46. What kind of Grandfather listens to Floyd, Sabbath, Rush and Zeppelin?
46 didn't seem too old until I found out my Daughter is pregnant.
She's in the Air Force stationed in Eglin, Pensacola Fl. Luckily, I'm only a few hours away, so I'll be able to go and see her.

You old fart! You don't know how lucky you are. You get all the joy and not near the frustration and mess if it was your own kid!
    I have 3 children. The oldest being 7, no grandchildren...I'll be 45 in September...Ahhh...to be a Grandpa...

    CONGRATULATIONS YOU OLD FART!!

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The coolest grandpa around, that's what kind. The biggest question is: how young is too young for some face melting (at proper volumes of course)?

Congratulations.. you will be a cool grandpa no doubt..

46 is a bit young I suppose .. my son is three years old and I'm 35... If I'm going to be 46 when I'm going to be a granddad I'll be worried..

    But is possible

Being a grandfather my self, this is where the river of denial dries up and you have to face the fact that you are indeed getting older. The good news is grandchildren are GREAT! They come over and you fill them with cookies and kool aid and when the sugar buzz starts to hit, you send them home. Revenge a dish best served cold.

You also get to see the circle of life, you remember all of those who came before you as well as your replacements.

    Congratulations Richard, youll love it!
