Also, I was going to say that Jindal is proven - he was appointed as Health secretary very young, has governed a state and revitalized a great portion of what was a battered state economy. I don't agree with much of his public policy or his weird personal belief in like exorcisms and born-again stuff but he's popular in his home state and extremely smart, definitely one of the young Turks of the 'new' Republican party.

That being said his speech's POV, as is the problem with much of the Republican (and Dem), is obscenely hypocritical; his aversion to taking federal money is ridiculous given that all of his success is built on federal infusions into LA.

Also, his speech was a complete s*itshow. I was laughing so hard during it and all I could think of was Kenneth the NBC page (as did most of the internet). In fact Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) had a response:
