    Wow. Harsh!

It's pretty dumb to kill yourself (deliberately or by self neglect) because you failed at one thing. But maybe it's a consequence of today's "you can achieve anything if you are determined enough" mentaility.

Fact is: you can't. We shouldn't teach kids this nonsense.

I wonder how long before we hear of someone killing themselves because they didn't win the X-Factor. It seems to be full of whining wannabes saying " I must win, this is my whole life." It's a tragic attitude to life.

but that's just it. obviously, he's not a good baseball player. anyone with half a brain would have just changed careers and kept on living. adapt, survive. he obviously couldn't. amazingly, the world keeps turning.

He defiantly had some demons, but, I didn't post it so we could criticize his performance and the reason he did it. The fact that he was a average player is irrelevant in the "big" picture. His life and his future were what really mattered and it just ended as abruptly as it began!

If I were to have read about this when the trade happened I might have found humor / irony in the event; but it simply demonstrates the callousness I hold for the sake of a "laugh".

We each have an unrealized potential regardless of what "evolutionistic ideologists" say. It's just distressing that "life" means so very little.
