To reiterate an earlier point. If you weren't born yet or were too young to be cognizant of the event then the Kennedy assassination is similar to asking who the real Jack the Ripper was or whether Dr. Mudd knew that John Wilkes Booth had shot Lincoln when he set his leg and harbored the fugitive.
If you were old enough then the assassination was a major event in your life, like 9-11 and you will always remember where you were when you heard of it and the emotions that you felt. It is not a distant piece of history to those that experienced it.

We don't cry conspiracy regarding the assassination of RFK or the attempts on Governor Wallace, Presidents Reagan or Ford. The assassinations of the Reverend Dr. King and President Kennedy are a different matter.
As far as the 'someone would have talked by now" argument, where is Jimmy Hoffa Sr. and how was he killed ? There has been no Joe Valachi to spill the beans on that one for the past thirty years.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
