    I'll just slip in briefly to say I'm glad you had a good trip. I had a chance to spend some time in France ... ye gods, forty years ago now. Mostly in Dijon, a few days each in Lyon and Paris. I got by with my high-school French and also found most people friendly and quite helpful. If I close my eyes I can still see the rose window glowing in the darkened interior of Notre Dame.

    I'm not sure what you saw but they are probably boats, houses or house boats..
