    Default On Hit Wonders!!

I think this might be a fun thread. There are many many hit songs from groups that never did anything else. Some of these are amoung the greatest tunes ever recorded and if not for this single, the band would have been completely unkown. I can rattle off probably fifty but I will start with this one because the sister of my old buddy Buddy was doin' the drummer when this song hit the charts (and didn't she think she was Miss Thing). Steam, Nana Hey Hey:

Hey! Why can't I fix the title of the thread? It's supposed to be ONE hit wonders.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

HEY! What means "Embedding disabled by request?" That takes the fun out of this thread.

Here let me try an older one, all the way back to the eighties:

Okay Ray but would you consider that a hit?

Here's one with a funny little personal history. I think I was in the fourth grade and the teacher had a special treat for us one day. This hippy chick with a headband and a guitar was in our classroom singing Puff The Magic Dragon, Kumbaya and a bunch of nicey nicey peace songs. So in 1967 or so I wasn't all that evolved and I played rough with my G.I. Joes. They would be tortured and executed or commit suicide. It was not good to be one of my G.I. Joes. So when the little flower child asked if anyone had a request, she was a little off balance when I asked for:
