Gosh, vill der kinder be vearing cute little brown shirts???

Obabma thinking he knows what's best for other peoples children. The word "Offensive" needs to be re-defined for this one. Oh, and it's a mandatory "volunteer" program. They think we are stupid too.

And it's already passed the House. I wish Nov. 2, 2010 would hurry up and get here.

Whats scary is no one seems to be questioning anything. Those who dont learn from the past are doomed to repeat it..

That kind of defeats the purpose of the word "volunteer". It's just compulsory work teams for kids- who gets to decide where these work teams go? On the other hand, what happens when a kid doesn't show up for "work"?

The times they are a changin'. Its turning into a Brave New World out there aint it! Wait until you find out about Obamas domestic Army. Do a search for the campaign speech he gave in Colorado over the 4th of July.

Compulsary volenteerism is great and it will only cast 6 Billion dollars between 2010 and 2014... cheap!

i'm oddly reminded of the shawshank redemption... where the warden takes a payoff to not bid on a contract... all the "volunteers" could be taking paying jobs away from others.

key things (all numbers for 2010-2014)
    $600,000,000 to administer the program
$150,000,000 for training and technical assistance
    $200,000,000 for "various" demonstration programs

so getting and keeping the program running will be 1/6 of the bill.

so when do the kids start getting asked to spy on their family and neighbors?
    Be just and fear not.

OK, I took a deep breath....

I'm hoping my post was just a knee jerk reaction. The measure passed the House 321-105. There MUST be something I don't know (since I admittedly haven't read the bill, yet Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress)).

    I'm hoping I over reacted.
