Something you are really pleased with...
I have noticed a few threads about things that are pet peeves or gripes. I've got quite a few myself, believe me, but I was wondering what things we might feel work perfectly or better than we anticipated.
Not so much the usual stuff.....my child's smile, a beautiful sunny day....I finally got my razor honing worked out..... I was thinking more about something in daily life that functions in a way that it leaves you with that "I couldn't add a thing to improve that" feeling.

I love falling asleep at night with a good movie playing in the background. This is a nightly ritual for me - the background noise helps me shut my mind down, no matter what kind of a day it's been.
I love sitting down with a pipe, a glass of scotch, and a good book. Typically, I can be found with these three things in my recliner in the living room, but now that the weather is warming up, I also take it outside on the porch.
Even though the last few days have been hot, the nights have been cool and rainy. Nothing like walking out to the car in a light rain, taking a drive with the windows open, grabbing a pint of B&J's, and eating the whole thing while watching TV.
I really love walking into a bar, being greeted by my name, and seeing that the bartender is genuinely happy that I'm there.

Pedaling around on a 1972 Schwinn Paramount on a beautiful day.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Colliding head-on with a bumble bee when biking on a sunny day. First the surprise, then the reassuring buzz - hardly a sound sweeter - and the cute heavy, swinging flight into the blue.

Taking a walk through the fields and christmas tree plantation next door with our two yellow labs.Their childish bouncing and bounding and chasing shadows of birds and butterflies just tickles me sometimes.

And when I read
the first thing that came to mind was a Zippo lighter. Still made in the USA, simple--wadding, wick, flint, fuel--and always works as long as those four basic elements are in place; and the company stands behind it, no matter how long or how hard it's been knocking around.
I could say much the same for the good old basic Weber grill, since my mind is turning toward summer.

Thanked: 402Watching animals of all kinds.
And watching my cats. Each time they come to say hi they look at least ten percent prettier than expected.
