Folks, I'm gonna be clear and I'm gonna be blunt.
If you find you feelings hurt, or get a little mad, then I was probably talking to you.
Last sentence means this has a limited intended audience.
I know we have foreigners and this was a US politically defined word and that is ok.
When using a word, or when we hear a word used, we must often look to the context to determine the definition of said word.
eg.
" Bent my nail and it hurts like a mother."
" I bent my nail, can I have another?"
" Give me a water balloon so I can nail someone. Oh here comes my brother!"
Now anyone with a 3rd grade education can clearly interpret the separate meanings in these sentences.
Are you still with me? I'm typing slowly so you can keep up.
What's that? I'm being patronizing?
Yes I am.
Keep in mind this is only directed at a select few.
I like the last game so let's play again.
We can thank THE OCTOPUS for one of these sentences.
" I'll be all over him like Chef Bork on stuffed frog legs."
" I think I borked my pants ! I'll be right back."
"Hopefully we can Bork Obama's nominee."
Let's look at that last one again because we seems to have some people who still aren't up to speed.
Remember how we looked at the CONTEXT of the word to determine it's meaning?
Ok maybe we can figure out what I meant that way.
Let's take the word IN CONTEXT, now we go to google....
bork obama's nominee - Google Search says
Now, based on what you just saw a google I will make my closing.
The context and intended use of this word are so clear in my original post that to suggest any other meaning would imply either a complete lack of common sense, or a very poor understanding of the English language.
There is an old saying that "One should never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity."
Perhaps this applies here. It would certainly explain the profound ignorance highlighted by various posts.
I tried to start a debate over an extremely important issue and was met with snickers and innuendo.
I'm not sure who came up with this but here is one of my favorite quotes.
Your ignorance is not my fault.
Don't make it my problem.

i hate liberals.
get over race. just remember it was "white males" who fought to end slavery, "white males" who elected this "black" president (and the funny part is this "black" president is half white, half muslim, half asian, half this, half that).
now this lady cant even be a juror. how can she be a judge?
she feels sympathy? great the spanish gangs are gonna be
free to do what they please. she has sympathy? cover up your sons asses because the molesters are gonna be free to do what they want.
i know this sounds not possible and over reacting, but in 20 years, with liberals in control it will be. these ****ers will be looked at as "sick" and "in need of some love" and "never had anything" so its ok to kill and rape.
i dont care what she over came.
i dont care about her sob story.
i dont care about what she didnt have.
boohoo get the **** over it. everyone has a sob story. i dont wanna hear it how it shaped her or how strong she is. i dont care. i could care less if she lived in a cardboard box. personally i find that kinda comical.
what i do care about is how good she is for the job. and she isnt. shes just a spanish liberal with a vagina. so obama thinks hes gonna get more votes.
yet when clarence thomas became a judge noone cared. noone cared that he was black. noone cared that he was a man. instead of praise he got blasted because he was republican.

thanks a lot asshole, now there's malt liquor all over my keyboard.
the primary definition, where I live anyhow, and apparently where hoglahoo lives as well, is pretty different.
i think the most polite way to state it would be to say that here bork means "have violent, unconsensual sex with"
hence my confusion and dismay at the thread title, but it seems it has a much more innocent meaning elsewhere
