However, it just wouldn't be the same as passing them to a son.

Plus my daughter is half Asian and probably won't have much leg hair TO shave.
My wife is Asian and it make me wonder if we have a son, will he even be able to grow facial hair?

I dont have kids yet. But if I have boys I will probably first teach them the DE and then after that the straight. and if they take to it great and if not ... i hope they at least use the de.

A good friend and neighbor is Nathalie who is also a single mom. I have mentioned in other threads that I spend some time with her son Elliott who is just turned nine years old. I have given him a workbench and a fair collection of high quality hand tools. I am teaching him woodworking. Elliott's uncle is helping too. He gave Elliott a nice collection of Opinel pocket knives (it seems to be a sales display with about a dozen different sizes of the classic folding knife). I have already shown Elliott my straight razors(he was asking me why I had a big belt hanging in my bathroom). I expect when he starts to show whiskers I will teach him how to shave.

no kids here, but I'm planning on teaching my nephews when they're old enough to need it.

have already taught some of my young cousins via my shaving videos, they all seem to think it's cool and have asked for straights when they're old enough to shave.

Well, speaking as someone who's half Chinese, the most I can grow is a 'Fu Man Chu' which really p*sses me off because I can't shave as often as I would like!

I have two teenage daughtes and I have chosen not to go there.

Besides, I got into str8 shaving to keep the ladies in my family from stealing my razors for thier own use!!!

I'd say I'm at least 15 years removed from creating anything that will grow whiskers, but when the time comes I'll be handing down parts of my collection.

As far as my son knows, there's no other way to shave. I'll give him a straight when he's old enough to start shaving.
