that's excellent news!
yes in fact i was recently contacted by the former secretary of congo general zabeda's niece. she was rather distressed by the new government who has thrown the country in chaos. her uncle had a vast collection of livis, most of which were stolen by the death squad who took him in the middle of the night. however the centerpiece of the collection, one with straight place for razors engraved on the olive oil dipped handle was protected by divine intervention. the archangel gabriel himself struck the soldiers with temporary blindnes whenever they looked at the razor.
in the aftermath the shimmering blade was what gave hope of this family to go through the immense grief.
in any case, due to my role in the shaving comunity, she has asked me to identify the next individual who could be in charge of that livi razor.
of course such a blade must be surrounded with all the lavish lifestyle it has gotten in gen zabeda's palace. thus they would need to establish that the next caretaker has the means to provide such care and respect and not be forced to sell the razor in order to pay their electricity or grocery bill.
she was apparently touched by your story and the number 30 along with the end of july has a very special meaning to the family and they believe this is the sign they have long awaited to pinpoint the next god-chosen.
so to expediate the matter please provide me with your bank details, full name, date and place of birth, exact residences for the last 10 years, mother's maiden name and all security codes and passwords.
in the verification process your bank accounts will be temporarily decreased to 1 in the denominated currency (not 0 to avoid closing of said accounts). do not be alarmed, as you understand, this is an essential part of the process which ensures the future well being of the razor. if your financial institutions call you, please let them know that everything is just as expected and they should not worry.
the research into your status will be completed within 5 business days and at that point the razor will be flown with a chartered flight heavily guarded (by private security contractor blackwater inc).

Nice to here you'r gear has been found ... I had a Dovo and a best badger brush ready to send over to you there ...
Regarding the Livi .. I'd highly recommend one of his 6/8 re-grinds .. Not sure if there's a European retailer any more Vincent here on the forum used arrange them from Mastro Livi .
I unfortunately had my second one go missing in the post -- I was totally gutted . I still want a second one tho , so If I find out where to purchase ( unless I can purchase from Mastro direct ) I'll be buying one again ..
kind regards ... Garry

Thanked: 3Dear honest friend of forum person, how fortunate you are to learn it that I have access of just such razor.
This is because my great uncle Tandoori in Nigeria has just died, with collection of many razors, now made for me in Calgary.
Sad I must have to be, there is no money to transport, but here is scheme to help us both: to ship abroad, must to have sufficient funds shown for deposit. You forward to me sum of $1400 US fund, which I can show deposit receipt. Upon receiving of razors, I send to you razor and refund for sum $1500 US. This is possible by currency rate difference of exchanged.
We both profit well.
Your good honest friend,
Disis Ascam

Thanked: 131Yesterday I was finally reunited with my washbag! My razor, the alum block and all were present right there.
That was the good news.
The bad news however was that it was extremely rusted and a little corroded. Huh? WTF? What happened there? Can it be rescued? I'll see if I can get pics...

ALUM is a salt....they don't react well with steel. You can probably polish most of the rust off with some kind of metal polish.
