Shawshank Redemption has been on cable for the past few months. I think I've watched it 15 times so far this year.
Great movie about the human condition.

all of Akira Kurosawa's movies, but mainly yojimbo and sanjuro which a fistfull of dolalrs and afew dollars more is based on.
And also "the hidden fortress" which influenced the story of star wars.
And seven samurai which became the magnificent 7.

Movies . . .
Gentlemen,
In my house, when "Vertigo" comes on, or "Laura," "My Fair Lady" and "Casablanca" — well that will do for starters — the world stops. I watch them for dialogue, mood, music, and everything else, technical or non-technical, one can think of. Most of all, I watch them over and over again, because they are great movies.
