Easy grasshopper
They only use glue on one side of the teflon. That side goes against the pan. If you put it together upside down, food would always stick
I've seen teflon used for a variety of things besides pans. Popcorn poppers, carpet treatments for easier cleanup of spills, automotive paint finishing like clearcoat to prevent UV damage. Teflon is one of those things that is probably present in more items than we realize.

Turn the skillet over and look at the brand. Hope it is a GRISWOLD. If it's not a Griswold it would be like shaving with a PAKI razor. Nothing but cast-iron at this house.
Tell your wife that your next wife is going to love cooking with cast-iron.

Thanked: 0To treat the pan
Wash with water and a very mild soap. Let dry.
Warm the pan (not hot) over the stove...
Rub in some Lard sprinkled sparingly with salt ...
Rub in some more Lard.
Put in oven at 350`F for about 30 minutes.
Bring out and let pan cool naturally.
Do it all again.... except,
This time in the oven for 1 hour.
Let cool naturally.... Never use a harsh soap when cleaning.
That's what my gramma showed me to do, that's how I do it.

I'm a vegetarian so I use vegetable oil. Works great.
