Palin resigned
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will resign | Reuters
They say it might be in order to focus on a 2012 presidential bid. Hopefully there is actually a good Republican candidate in 2012 and we won't have to see her on the ballot.

Thanked: 3795By resigning as governor, she has indicated that she lacks the responsibility for public office. I'm hoping that her future will be as bright as that of Joe the (fake) plumber. Given that we've already seen the effects of an ignorant moralistic idealogue who is unwilling to consider factual reality, I can't imagine the country would be ready to elect another one so soon.
