    Default NATIONAL EMBLEMS

Are there any other countries out there where it is legal to hunt and eat your national symbols, or turn them into rugs, jackets, hats ect?
Or are we just lucky in Australia!

Although it's not the national symbol, I ate a turkey sandwich while I was in Istanbul, Turkey. It was deliciously witty.

Of the various animals that are emblematic in the United kingdom, there are no lions left except in zoos, the Unicorn is a figment of the imagination and it's doubtful whether we ever had any dragons either.

One particular rooster is an emblem of our country:

But we eat a lot of chicken here, so it is legal

The really strange thing is , if I want to cut down a wattle tree that is in the background of the coat of arms, I have to apply to the shire in writing, have their arborist come and inspect it, pay an inspection fee and then wait up to six weeks for a yay or nay! Go figure.

I'm not sure, but I read recently that it was actually the English who invented haggis.

But you won't catch me eating it!
