    Default What's on your ipod?

So my Sister decided that I should come out of the dark ages and donated an Ipod shuffle to the cause. So here I sit, an old hippie, listening to the Dead, Dylan, Little Feat, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Hot Buttered Rum and Bob Seger. What's on your Ipod?

mine has all of my music so it's got all kinds of stuff. the bulk of the space though is taken by the classical stuff since i keep almost all of them in ridiculously high quality.

I think my wife and I are up to 2,500 songs of all different types of music; the whole gamut except metal.

Except metal? I'm sorry to hear it...metal can be so fulfilling.

I'm rocking a 16 gig Touch. iTunes informs me that 6.17 gigs of that is music, which would mostly be rock, classic pop, and several hours worth of standup comedy. A lot of it, however, I rarely listen to. I'm just too lazy to remove it. One song I'm stuck on at the moment is a cover of Blondie's Call Me. Put simply, it freakin' rocks.

253 megs is taken up by my apps, but we've already got a topic on that

Another 248 megs is taken up by e-books. I've recently discovered that I like reading on my ipod, so I've been packing in the free books.

I can't live without music and my IPhone goes everywhere with me. Aside from the music installed on it, I do tend to use Pandora often depending on my mood.

About 60% Jazz (Mingus, Miles, Rollins, Blakey etc)
20% of New Wave/Post Punk (The Smiths, Depeche Mode)
10% of 80's and early 90's Punk (Black Flag, Minor Threat)
    10% of various Podcasts

Doesn't it though? SWMBO said "you've got to listen to this", which usually doesn't turn out too good. This time it worked out pretty well though.
