Thanked: 586Okay, all the classes are finished. I even had fire fighting training out on Long Island. There is a very powerful something about fire fighters. These cats rush into burning buildings to save the lives of complete strangers. My training took place very close to New York City. The memorials to all the fallen from 9/11 were more stirring than I ever would have imagined.
I passed all my classes (at the top of the class!) and even more incredible, I passed my physical! Tomorrow at 0730 I have an appointment with the U.S. Coast Gurd at Battery Park in New York City to submit my application for my Merchant Mariner's Credentials (MMC). I hope I can in and out of there with no trouble. Apparently there is a ticker tape parade for some baseball guys. The parade starts in Battery Park.
