If you wrote it as a novel of a screenplay and sent it to a publisher or a producer they would reject it saying that it wasn't a believable scenario. Another example of why the death penalty should still be on the table. Even in Kalifornia.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

My wife and I watched in disbelief. For starters, we asked each other how the wife would support such behavior. Then we both came to the same conclusion, that perhaps his wife being from a part of the world that basicaly sells it's own daughters into sexual slavery is all too common. It is too bad on a larger scale the implications that has for women of all nations, but that poor family and the hell the father had to live as judgemental lemmings never let go. So many questions on how that could take place in that neighborhood too.

it's now come out that they met in jail both were there for kidknapping... I live in Canada where the death penalty isn't legal ANYWHERE you know how frustrating it is to realize that people like Paul Bernardo are being kept alive in prison because of my tax dollars... (for those of you who don't know who paul bernardo is a quick google search will reveal he raped and murdered two young women video taped it *He has also been accused of being the ravine rapist*I'm not sure if he was convicted in this or not)

Incredible. That the neighbors never NOTICED? That the police were called but never CHECKED?

    Sickening. Truly sickening.

It is sad. I LIVE IN ANTIOCH!!!

The fact that these "people" lived near me make me sick. This is not a bad town, and I would like to think that "that could never happen in my town", but I guess that is not the case.

I'm glad I don't have kids ... society seems so sick these days.

Does the fact that they are surfacing more rapidly make the death penalty any less applicable? The man was previously convicted in the 70's for the same behavior.

The whole thing could have been avoided. I'm with Jimmy on this one.

You make the mistake, sir, of making those two statements of mine mutually inclusive.

The death penalty, as I have said before, is an easy way out. Until people stop hanging them selves inside to get away from the misery of their lives, I will oppose the death penalty.

It is not about death being too harsh, quite the contrary. Unfortunately, people still seem to think death is a punishment. I'm not convinced those who have died are aware of the fact, seems to be to be one big get out of jail free card.

Yep, I am too. Life has never been cheaper than it is right now here in the UK, with people being shot and stabbed for looking at someone the wrong way. And I`m not kidding! Hardly a day goes by without seeing another victim of gang violence or mugging.

I dont want to empathise with anyone who could take a life, or exploit and abuse a young child as in this sickening case. All I want to do is put the fear of god into them, so that some are put off committing these terrible crimes. And those that arent put off receive an appropriate punishment!
