I love the smell of my wife's green curry. It was the first meal she ever cooked for me. Her cooking isn't anything special, but the smell of her green curry reminds me of when our relationship was all new and shiny.

A stack of freshly printed and still warm papers, my teacher would ask me to pass out in grade school. I don't think modern printers give out that smell.
Campfire smell that lingers in your hair for a few days after a weekend of camping.
    The pages of certain books.
That fraction of a seconed when your dinner starts to burn, but is not yet overwhelming, then the cussing starts.
    Pools with bleach in them.
Oglethorpe, I'm with you on the dog paws.

Ohh..I forgot. A freshly painted room. They should really make an air freshner in that scent.

Cigarette smoke mixed with clean sweaty clothes. Reminds me of my dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Add me onto the list of skunk fans. There's nothing sweeter than the cool night air in the country mixed with skunk, manure, and alfalfa.

Auto/bikeshop. There isn't much that goes in or on a car that stinks to me.

Smoke from just about any tobacco product.

Clean birds...it's something about their dust and feathers.

    Ozone...

Almost any fuel smell, including avgas.

I sometimes wonder how you come up with these post topics, Chris.

Smells trigger memories, and I think you link smells to times and places where you feel safe and secure. Here are a few of mine:

    Corn silage
    Freshly cut hay
    Vanilla
    Gasoline
    Freshly baked bread
    Pine trees (Christmas)
Asphalt and tar (elementary school playground)
School lunchroom smell (at any school)
    Burning leaves in autumn

Somewhere in my scent library memory, I can still vividly smell my first real girlfriend's nape of the neck region; a puzzling blend of perfume, detergent and/or fabric softener, shampoo and conditioner... well, you know what I mean.

My dad used to cook lutefisk around Christmastime. I will never include that as an odd scent or smell I like!

Another I have thought of is the perfume my mother used to wear when I was a baby. She didn't really wear it, more like dowsed herself with it. Also, the smell of the perfume my wife was wearing on our first date.
