Listen, it's about time science minded folk put their money where their mouth is.

If:
Way way back in the day (some of you might remember) about 6 buhzillion years ago, we had a noxious, volcanic atmosphere of things such as cyanide and sulfur. Out of this mess it is theorized that amino acids, nucleic acids, and the likes were spontaneously formed (can be done in a lab in good conditions). These were the building blocks for structures of organic molecules that eventually became anaerobic bacteria. These anaerobic bacteria digested a lot of that other crap and produced O2. Over another buhzillion gerzillion trillion years, O2 became a major component of the atmosphere. Which gave rise to aerobic bacteria, which over the next 10x10^99230948234 years evolved into sentient life and eventually humans.
Then:
The fact that modern day industrial complexes are churning out greenhouse gasses, dioxins, noxious gasses of many kinds, should be bound to produce not a reduction in habitat, and killing of species, but rather it will obviously lead to prime conditions for the very creation of life itself! For every industrial solvent factory located overlooking an open pit coal mine there is a new Earthling waiting to be formed!

All that's needed is the right mix of PCBs, a nutrient rich "soup" in a runoff pond from a toxic dump, and a bolt of lightning or something, and viola! Life! Easy as pie!

So, enough with the hand wringing, and "save the environment" campaigns. That is so 90's! Fuggetabouttit!

How can you help?

Step #1: crawl under your car and wail away at that pesky little catalytic converter under there that is trying to "protect the envirnement". Go ahead, future protozoens and ameobas are counting on you.

Step #2: Hair spray--that's right, let's unleash the power of aerosols again! Burn a hole in that ozone layer, as we may also need UV radiation to spawn new life as well.

Toxic soup, lightning bolts, and UV radiation! It can't miss!
