Thread: What do you think will happen when...

It finally sinks in to the average person in this country that they will have to shell out 400-500 each and every month for most of the rest of their lives for health premiums once the healthcare bill passes? (and that's with gov't subsidies) Think that will cut into the beer budget for most?

Oh come now!

The only people that will be paying that will be the WORKING PEOPLE that already pay taxes...

It wont be much different than now, all thoses that are already benifiting from all our hard work will continue to expect YOU to work more and more just to make ends meet.

Don't forget when it finally falls apart it will be your FAULT too.

I guess I'll be thinking about what I'm going to do with an extra $300-$400 per month that I won't need to spend on the $800 per month health insurance premiums I'm paying for me and my family now?

Well, for one thing, everyone else will find it easy to recognize us who shave with straights. Everyone else will be growing beards since they will be so broke they can't afford cartridges...

Don't worry, my friend, the government will find some way to take back my savings and then some I'm sure; then, I'll be right back there with ya. We're way past the government simply mining continually for additional revenue to fund itself; With the deficit in the trillions IMO we're talking about a push to once and for all place citizens now and into the future into permanent lifelong servitude in repayment for debt.

What makes you think they are going to pass a health care bill ? I would be very surprised to see it happen.

My plan: I'm studying international business and German/Russian right now, so I for one am moving to Europe. Liberal policy and health care that works. Fingers crossed on Sweden or Denmark...

I'll bet the Senate bill that is going to be voted on very shortly will pass. It has no public option

The house bill has undergone so many changes - merged with other bills, amended and amended and amended - I would not be surprised if it passes on the merit of pet-legislation that has been included

I think we currently spend more than that with our existing health care program. What numbers are you citing and comparing here?
