Please give me your source for that $100 Omega. I'll buy every one in the world.
The fact is watches can be made for dirt cheap the average quartz mvmt costs about $25 or less some cost pennies, a Sapphire xtl about $50 and a case fro $30 or so. A leather or cheap metal strap for $10. The more you pay for the watch the more the company makes on it. There's the manufacturer, the middleman, the dealer and each doubles the price. 1 I have a quartz movement lp that kept perfect time for 4 years before needing a battery replacement.
2 the seiko movement seraphim is talking about is great stuff for the money
3 the thing looks cool and you'll get a great auto movement watch for 70 bucks
4 the pound is kicking the dollar's ass
