Thanked: 293Affordable, high-quality, fashionable wrist watches
Gents,
It seems like wrist watches that I am attracted to are all into the thousands and tens of thousands of dollars.
I saw a picture of a Stowa Marine Original that I really like. It goes for around $700 for the base model.
Marine Automatic - Stowa Uhren ab Werk bestellen und online kaufen
Here's my question: What other reputable automatic (kinetic or manual) wrist watches are available in the $500 or less range.
Looking at the Stowa, you may have an idea of what my style is.
Thanks
Ogie

Thanked: 234I don't know if you get them in the states but Rotary make some nice perpetual watches. I have one of their special editions.

Run a search for watches with the ETA 2824-2 movement.
(you can get the movement alone here: ETA 2824 and ETA 2836 Watch Movements

If you like that style check out hamilton, seiko,Christopher Ward, Archameide for starters. All are within your price. If you can go up maybe 300 more check out the basic Sinn models.

I have a Citizen EcoDrive Perpetulal Calandar (http://www.fashion-jewelry-watches-o...BL8007-55L.jpg) and I really like it. Only negative for mine is that I got the Stainless Steel band, so it's a bit heavy.

That watch kind of looks like a classroom clock.
I vote that you shell out the dough for your dream watch. What did you have in mind?

Thanked: 293That's easy for you to say... you're not the one who's paying for it!
With that said, I don't have the dough for my dream watch(es) are panerai marina militare, breitling 125e, and that stowa up above, to name a few.
@bigspendur -- good call on the Archimede... I REALLY like the Arcadia line. I may wind up grabbing one of these but it's only a little bit cheaper than the Stowa. Decisions, decisions.

Years ago a friend of my father, who was in the jewelry business, told me that virtually all quartz movement watches contained the same quartz movement, and that the only real difference between an inexpensive and an expensive quartz movement watch was the extras, such as the gold content, precious stones, or paying for a marquee name.
Anyone know if this is true?
