    Default Youtube gem

My daughter was with me in the man cave. She likes to hang around when I am working on blades. Since she couldn't hammer nails (youngest kid was asleep) I let her watch cartoons on youtube for a while. By now she knows how to click from one to the next (didn't have to teach her. She fiured it out on her own).

Anyway, when she asked for tom and jerry cartoons, we stumbled on upon the video below. I thought it was brilliant. I had never heard of the band before, but now I like it, and have put it on my birthday CD list.
What I liked too was that my daughter liked the music as well
    That's my girl

    Enjoy.

That band is great. I like tough metal with folk influences.

Folk metal is indeed great stuff, though I prefer clean vocals (I'm not a fan of the growling/yelling). You should check out Kamelot, if you're not already familiar with them. After listening to their music, I was shocked to learn that they're from the States.

I'm a big fan of "beauty and the beast" style. A mix of clean lady voices and growling

You beauty and beast-ers might like Opeth. Only male vocals, but a nice mix of the two singing styles. Amazing music as well.

This stuff puts me in mind of Kaisers Orchestra...not quite metal enough, but nice external influences...polka, Russian folk music, etc.

Yep Bruno, I really like Tristania, and Morten Veland's new band Sirenia. I also listen a lot to Epica (the singer is just so HOT).

    More Folk metal:

It's nice to see the guy who spots growling and grab his celtic flute.

You might recognize melody from "La Vallée de Dana", both songs inspired by the same old breton song.

Thanks. I had already added Eluveitie to my list.
Btw, have you noticed that the melody of inis mona is a copy of the melody of the refrain in this one:
