While this is off the topic of the original post, I feel that what I'm about to say is relevant to the way the discussion has gone, and I'd like to throw in my $.02 and say that there is a lot of thought that goes into the attempt to define the word "science," by both scientists and philosophers. Good scientists who want to be able to defend their work from public criticism must ensure that their experiments, claims, evidence, logic and reasoning will be accepted as "science." As for philosophy, well, there is an entire field called "Philosophy of Science" which considers, at it's heart, how science can be defined.Quote:

I've not done my reading yet, but I must really need to review and, indeed, relearn what "evolution" refers to. I thought "not only man bur all life" 'evolved' from randomly formed organic materials which were created in some sort of a body of liquid. When I do re-read, I'll pay extra attention for mentions of rocks.Quote:
