I submit that the answer (if indeed you buy the variety with bumps/dimples) is determined by a higher, more strategic decision.

Namely, which way do you position the TP roll on the hanger? With the loose end abutting the wall, or the loose end away from the wall?

If the former, then the dimples face you as you tear the strip off. If the latter, the bumps face you as you tear. (Of course, this assumes you always fold in the same way.)

Answer that question, and you have your answer regarding bumps or dimples.

Personally, I use the cat if it happens to be passing at the crucial moment. Such soft and absorbent fur.

A very complex question. I do believe this would require an experiment to figure out the best side for efficacy.

    Such an important subject.

Well I haven't used the creek since I got my new Bidet with heated seat and water with a warm blow dryer to finish things off. I wash my hands of this thread.

    Hilarious thread.

Answer: I use the flat stuff. There are no speed bumps or potholes.

    Thumbs down

Am I alone here in thinking this is remarkably childish topic? And I ask this as one who, while a mentor, was spanked by a moderator for making what I felt was a considerably less puerile comment.

Yup. Nobody forces anybody to ready any thread around here as far as I've seen.
