If it is a true teaching of the Koran that a Muslim cannot war on another Muslim then we have a small problem because they have been killing each other for 1000's of years... If it is a teaching that Muslims cannot form alliances with Jews and Christians and war with other Muslims then we have a small problem there too....
And if we have troops that are going to use being Islamic to only deploy when they deem it to suit their personal requirements, we have a small problem there too...

And the biggest problem is I am still stumped on this...
Rather than focusing on Muslims and attempting to suggest they ALL uniformly hold the exact same beliefs and follow the tenants of their religion in some one-dimensional fashion, perhaps you might want to spend some time reflecting on how it is that so many Christians can read the same bible and come away with so many different interpretations of what it says. Perhaps you may want to focused your "stumped-dom" on how it is that Christians can participate in the military when the New Testament tells us we are to turn the other cheek; or how Christians can trust serving next to "heathens"; or how Christians can serve alongside Jews, who deny the existence of Christ and are therefore on God's shit-list. Last time I looked, the Judeo-Christian top-ten Commandment "thou shall not kill" was not being followed by too many Judeo-Christians who have served in the US military for , oh, 200 years. Do we "have a problem" with them as well?
